In the role of service technician at SSI Schäfer, you will be part of their journey to operate one of Europe’s largest and most modern automated warehouses. Now there is an opportunity to join this team.

At SSI Schäfer, the latest technology in logistics solutions, robots, and automation is used as they build this workplace together with Coop, fully aligned with the vision “Think Tomorrow.”

Coop's new distribution center, strategically located in the heart of Sweden, will handle the distribution of goods to Coop's 800 stores across the country. Most of the flow is managed via two robotic systems for automated picking of individual packages for chilled and ambient products. The result is a more sustainable and highly efficient warehouse with over 600,000 picks per day. This is made possible by SSI Schäfer's award-winning shuttle system, which supplies both picking robots for individual packages and picking stations for single items in a strict order.

Who are you?

We are now looking for someone who wants to work as a service technician at SSI Schäfer in Coop's new automated goods terminal in Kjula, Eskilstuna. To be considered for the position, we are looking for someone who has worked as a service technician or has experience in mechanics and electronics. Furthermore, you have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

In addition to your previous experience, we see it as an advantage if you have the following:

• Driver's license (B)
• Knowledge and experience from automated industry
• Experience in mechanics or electronics
• Personal interest in motor mechanics
• Technical education

To fit in this role, you should enjoy working in a team but also be able to work independently. You are service-minded, have a high quality focus, and work meticulously with both your technical tasks and subsequent documentation.

Responsibilities

As an employee at this goods terminal, you will work in a team that works together towards the same goals. You will have a varied and exciting job that requires you to prioritize and streamline.

Your tasks will include:

• Maintenance and monitoring of automation processes
• Troubleshooting
• Repairs
• Improvement updates on machines and robots
• Supporting the shift leader in developing and maintaining risk assessments and work descriptions for the site
