Deje Trä is a locally rooted company with long experience in wood processing and building materials. Based in Deje, the business has for many years been a natural partner for both professional builders and private customers in the region. The product range extends from timber and building materials to hardware and accessories – always with a focus on quality, knowledge, and personal service.
Now, Deje Trä is taking the next step and opening a new building store in Forshaga. The business will operate in close collaboration with Deje and within the same corporate structure as Woody Bygghandel, which provides access to strong purchasing channels, campaigns, and collaborative spaces – while maintaining local freedom and entrepreneurial spirit.
About the role
This is a role for you who want to drive something as if it were your own. As the store manager for the new building store in Forshaga, you will have overall responsibility for the business. You will have the opportunity to be involved from the start – from receiving the keys to the premises to building up the store, product range, working methods, and customer relationships. It is an operational and business-oriented role where you are a natural part of the daily life in the store.
You will be responsible for daily operations, purchasing and orders, campaign work, staff planning, and customer meetings. Together with your team – initially a warehouse/salesperson and eventually more colleagues – you will create a building store that stands firmly on its own, while closely collaborating with Deje Trä.
Finance, salaries, and administration are handled centrally, allowing you to focus on what you do best: driving business, building relationships, and creating a functioning operation. The role entails great trust, short decision-making paths, and a unique opportunity to influence – for real.
To succeed in the role, we see that you have:
- Experience from building trade, building materials, construction industry, or related fields
- Good understanding of construction processes and materials – preferably with a background as a carpenter or entrepreneur in construction/carpentry
- Experience working business-driven with sales, customers, and product range
- Ability to work operationally with purchasing, orders, and campaigns
- Familiarity with business systems and good computer skills (Excel)
- Basic knowledge of English
