At Derome Timber, we have four sawmills that form the foundation of our operations. Here, we refine raw materials with pride, extensive experience, and a clear focus on safety, quality, and teamwork. We are now looking for a sawmill operator with a focus on grinding who wants to make a difference every day.

Your main responsibilities include:

• As a grinder, you play a central role in production. Your contributions directly affect both the flow in the sawmill and the quality of the final product. You work closely with colleagues in production and are an integral part of the whole.
• Sharpen and maintain blades for sawmill production
• Check quality and sharpness to ensure correct measurements and a good saw cut
• Work with ongoing maintenance of grinding equipment
• Contribute to order, structure, and safety in the grinding workshop

We are looking for someone who has:

• Experience in practical work within industry or workshop and thrives in an environment where collaboration and responsibility are part of everyday life. You have a technical understanding and interest in machines, as well as basic knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing. If you also have experience in grinding or sawmills, it is a plus.

About us

Derome makes more of the forest. We harvest trees in our local area and refine them in our own sawmills. About half of the timber is exported, and the remaining part is sold in our own building supply facilities, as well as to our industry colleagues. Within our Timber organization, you will be part of a team of timber specialists who are passionate about close and long-term customer relationships.
