Position as Operations Leader at FMTIS STAB J3

The position of Operations Leader is a permanent position located at FMTIS STAB J3, the Operations Department. The work at the Operations Department involves responsibility for planning and leading operations, activities in the short and medium term, as well as the unit's production. J3 also maintains FMTIS VB service with schedule planning and staffing.

About the unit

The Swedish Armed Forces' Telecommunications and Information Systems Command (FMTIS) is responsible for the technical command system structure of the Armed Forces. FMTIS is tasked with managing, leading, and executing the operation and maintenance of the Armed Forces' command systems. FMTIS Staff supports the unit commander in leading and managing the unit.

Main responsibilities

As an Operations Leader at FMTIS STAB J3, you will operate at the tactical and operational level, coordinating and following up on the unit's operational and execution activities. The daily tasks include:

• leading command teams in various areas; e.g., FM command support systems, order processing, reviews, and follow-up of the unit's activities
• leading or participating in working groups in both operational and production-related areas
• leading order issuance and situation briefings
• conducting planning and development of activities within the department and the unit
• serving as duty officer outside regular working hours (H24) according to a rotating schedule
• representing at internal and external meetings.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

• Swedish citizen
• You have an officer/specialist officer degree and are OF 1-3/ OR 6-8
• You have a good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English
• You have very good IT skills
• Driver's license at least for passenger cars (B, manual transmission)

DESIRABLE

• Experience serving at the tactical and operational level
• Experience and knowledge of the Armed Forces' command support systems, e.g., ISUS and SWECCIS
• Trained command system officer or experience from similar service

Employment type: Permanent employment possibly with a 6-month probationary period.

Work location: By agreement, but service will mainly be from Örebro.
Start date: As soon as possible or by agreement.
Business trips, both day and overnight trips, occur.
