JOB DESCRIPTION

As a temporary cleaner and kitchen staff member, you will belong to the service unit, whose task is to run the cleaning and kitchen services in Karlskrona municipality's school activities, operations, and facilities. The unit is led by unit managers under the Food and Service Department.

In the role of cleaner and kitchen assistant, you work to create a clean, safe, and pleasant environment for children, students, and staff. Your cleaning tasks include daily cleaning of schools, preschools, and other municipal premises. You are responsible for cleaning floors, sanitary facilities, classrooms, and common areas, as well as ensuring that hygiene supplies are replenished and that waste is handled according to current routines. The work requires you to follow established cleaning schedules and use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and correctly.

In the kitchen and serving part, you work to prepare and serve meals to children and students. You receive and check food deliveries, handle special diets according to instructions, and ensure that kitchen areas are kept clean and hygienic. Dishwashing and cleaning of equipment are also included in the daily work. You collaborate closely with kitchen staff and educators to ensure that meals are served in a safe and service-oriented manner.

The work requires that you have good communication skills in the Swedish language, both spoken and written, as well as being service-oriented and easy to collaborate with. You need to be able to take initiative, solve problems, and contribute to a positive work environment. A valid driver's license (B) and access to a car are also required, as work may occur at several different units.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Documented knowledge and experience in cleaning
• Experience in kitchen/service is an advantage
• Good ability to communicate in Swedish, both spoken and written
• Driver's license B
