About Tjärö

Tjärö, an island of 75 hectares, located in the heart of Blekinge's archipelago. Tjärö offers accommodation in charming small houses from the 1800s. There are 137 beds distributed across 52 rooms in 13 different houses. In addition to lodging, there are conference facilities, a restaurant, a café, and a marina with over 70 boat slips. The island can be reached by boat from Järnavik, Karlshamn, or Matvik.

About Tjärö's houses and accommodation

Tjärö offers accommodation in charming small houses from the 1800s. We have 137 beds distributed across 52 rooms in 13 different houses. The houses on Tjärö are grouped around the central part of the island. Room sizes, numbers, and standards, hostel rooms and hotel rooms, vary between the houses. Some rooms have a shower and toilet in the room while others have a shower and toilet in the corridor. The cleaning team consists of 2-5 people depending on the season. This means our staff must be prepared to be flexible regarding working hours, workstations, and always be part of the practical work.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for ensuring that rooms, conference rooms, common areas, toilets, sauna floats, and service buildings are clean and in good condition.
• Responsible for reporting if any work materials are running low.
• Responsible for ensuring that the information boards in the rooms are correct.
• Responsible for keeping Tjärö looking clean and tidy.
• Responsible for ensuring that buildings and living environments are in good condition.
• Reports if anything is broken in rooms or buildings.

Who are you?

• You are responsible, positive, meticulous, and wish to provide our guests with 100% service together with our team at Tjärö.
• You are used to working independently.
• Previous experience as a cleaner is an advantage but not a requirement.
• You believe you would thrive on an island close to the sea and nature.
