The first tool left our factory for delivery to a customer back in 1974. However, our work encompasses not only design and manufacturing. We also take responsibility for service and repair services, provide advice, ideas, and act as a sounding board when it comes to streamlining our customers' production. Östrand & Hansen continues to experience high demand for its entire service offering, particularly its automation solutions and special machines. To strengthen the assembly team and ensure customer expectations, we are now recruiting an additional Automation Assembler.

Your Responsibilities

As an assembler at Östrand & Hansen, you will assemble customer-specific machines based on completed drawing documentation, where components such as hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical components are purchased while other parts must be produced in-house. Each machine is a unique project that can vary in size, complexity, and duration. In this role, you will encounter various challenges daily that require quick decisions and new solutions, both independently and in collaboration with team colleagues. Below are the main responsibilities for the role:

• Assembly of customer-specific automation solutions and special machines of varying sizes, complexities, and industries

• Production and correction of parts using NC machines, grinding, drilling, etc.

• Close collaboration with team colleagues, project managers, and design, and in some cases directly with customers

• Support for customers during installations and service issues, either on-site or via phone.

Who are we looking for?

• You have relevant work experience in complex assembly, preferably with elements of mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical work.

• We believe you have a genuine interest in technology, enjoy solving problems, and have the drive and willingness to understand and acquire new knowledge.

• You must be meticulous and quality-conscious in your assembly, as well as in delivering projects in the specified condition and time frame.

• You are curious, engaged, cooperative, and contribute positive energy to the group.

• To fit into the profession and team, you need to be proactive, take initiative, and be able to solve tasks independently as well as in a group.

• We want you to have experience with a larger business system and Excel, and it is an advantage if you have experience with any 3D program, such as E-drawing.

• You have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

The position is based at the factory in Bankeryd. Travel for both service issues and installations may occur to some extent.
