Care Assistant at Edsberg Elderly Home

About the Position

As a care assistant at SOLOM's elderly home, you will help create a safe, meaningful, and dignified daily life for our residents. You provide individually tailored care and are there as support in both big and small matters, always with the resident in focus. You work closely with others to ensure that each person feels seen, involved, and respected. Common tasks for you will include:

• Providing support with personal care, hygiene, and daily activities
• Creating comfort and social interaction based on each person's needs and wishes
• Performing delegated health and medical tasks in consultation with licensed staff
• Following implementation plans and documenting in our journal system
• Contact and collaboration with colleagues, nurses, and relatives

Edsberg Elderly Home is located in nature-friendly Edsberg with 100 apartments distributed over 60 care places, 20 places for people with dementia, and 20 places for short-term and respite care. Edsberg is within walking distance from Edsbergscentrum.

The position is a part-time employment with start date as agreed. Our operations dictate the working hours, which can be during the day, evening, and weekends.

About You

To succeed in this job, we see that you have:

• A high school diploma from the health and care program and a protected professional title as a care assistant from the National Board of Health and Welfare
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language in terms of both spoken and written communication
• Basic computer skills, and can use email, Word, and work in operational systems

It is an advantage if you have previous experience in care and support work. As a person, you find joy in supporting people in their daily lives and enjoy working closely with them. About the Recruitment Process

Before any employment, you must present a criminal record extract along with valid photo identification. You need to request the extract yourself via the police's website: The extract we want to see is called "Control of your own data in the criminal record" and it must be submitted in the unopened envelope. If you are called for an interview, you need to be able to prove that you have the right to work in Sweden by showing that you have citizenship within the EU/EES or a valid work permit.
