Planning Officer, Aviation Operational Support
As an employee, you will work in the Flight Section, which is part of the Helicopter Wing Staff's Implementation Department (A3). The department is responsible for the management of unit production within the Helicopter Wing and leads the wing's operational and readiness tasks.
The task of the Flight Section is to provide staff support to the Local Flight Managers. You will work within the aviation function in close collaboration with pilots serving as flight system administrators within the section.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating data supply to our helicopter systems, planning stations, and other platforms.
- Supporting the units of the Helicopter Wing regarding the availability of aviation operational support.
- Supporting the units of the Helicopter Wing with geographical information and training.
- Producing maps as a basis for plans and to serve as decision support in the Helicopter Wing Staff.
- Representing and being the Helicopter Wing's contact with the Swedish Transport Agency and the Swedish Mapping, Cadastral and Land Registration Authority's support units.
- Representing the Helicopter Wing as an expert in matters concerning data supply to our helicopter systems.
Qualifications:
SO 6 or OF1
Meritorious:
- Experience in military aviation.
- Education related to working with digital geographical information, e.g., ArcGIS, FME.
- Experience in staff service.

As a person, you thrive in a staff environment, are self-driven, and take responsibility for your tasks. You have an easy time learning new software and a knack for problem-solving. Your interactions with other authorities and subordinate units are characterized by good social competence, and you have the ability to see the bigger picture.
Good collaboration skills and strong pedagogical abilities are important in this role; you relate to your colleagues in a responsive and situationally adapted manner and communicate and solve challenges constructively.

The Swedish Armed Forces Helicopter Wing is a unit with both land and maritime operational focus that can operate in missions in Sweden and internationally.
Helicopter support is in high demand for various purposes, such as personnel, material, or medical transport, command, reconnaissance, or surveillance missions. The Helicopter Wing often participates in missions and exercises with other units, as well as providing support to society in various crisis situations.
Operating throughout Sweden, the breadth of tasks, and the size of the wing with over 950 employees provide a variety of work and opportunities for personal development.
