The Health and Care Office is responsible for ensuring that the elderly and people with disabilities receive high-quality care and support. Our goal is to be a leader in quality within the field. We have a well-functioning collaboration between politicians, staff, and providers, a balanced economy, and a strong desire to develop the operations.

Within the department for elderly care, there are four day activities – three focused on cognitive diseases and one with a social focus. We also offer day activities in the home for individuals with cognitive diseases. The purpose of these activities is to break loneliness and isolation and to support individuals in maintaining their mental and physical abilities through a meaningful and stimulating daily life. The goal is to strengthen the conditions for being able to live at home longer and lead a more independent life. The work is based on a person-centered approach and aims to create safe and trusting relationships with our guests.

The day activities are organizationally gathered together with preventive services, which include meeting points, outreach home visits, handyman services, digital coaching, and volunteer activities.

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for someone to complement our team as a part-time employee or summer substitute and contribute to ensuring that our guests are always met with a professional, respectful, and warm approach. We place great importance on personal suitability and would like you to have the ability to work both independently and in close collaboration with colleagues.

In this role, you will work based on a person-centered approach focusing on the guests' needs, wishes, and abilities. You are an important part of creating a safe and meaningful daily life for our guests while also being a support for their relatives. The work involves planning and implementing activities, collaborating with relatives, case managers, and home care services, as well as documentation and other administrative tasks.

Qualifications

Proof of protected professional title as a nursing assistant issued by the National Board of Health and Welfare. Work experience in care and support, especially with individuals with cognitive diseases. Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing.

Meritorious:

• Experience working in day activities or other group activities.
• Experience leading activities for the target group.
• Good communication skills and confidence in meeting people in various situations.

If you are called for an interview, bring the extract and show it to the recruiting manager. Please note that the processing time at the Police can take several weeks. We therefore recommend that you order the extract when you submit your application.
