Company Description
Where You Will Work
Working in the energy sector means you will have the opportunity to influence tomorrow's climate-smart society and create the energy landscape of the future. A good working environment is fundamental to everything we do, and safety is always at the center. Geab, part of the Vattenfall Group, aims to provide conditions for a sustainable Gotland, and we are firmly committed to making it possible to live fossil-free. The climate is our most exciting challenge for the future. Together we can make a difference, and we need you to get there.
About the Role
As a Maintenance Leader, you will belong to the Maintenance group whose mission is the maintenance of Gotland's electricity network. We have different maintenance leaders and technicians in the group with various tasks - Station, Line, Lighting/Measurement, and Operations. The group consists of about 25 employees, and within the station, you will lead the maintenance work for six station technicians.
You will be responsible for planning and executing maintenance measures such as reinvestments, corrective, and emergency maintenance related to the station. You will plan the work of station technicians and execute it with a focus on efficient resource utilization, cost-effective, and quality-driven measures. You will also be responsible for planning and follow-up on standby and minor renovations of internal and external facilities, and when necessary, in collaboration with resources from other groups. You will hold the role of BAS-U and are expected to ensure a good working environment together with the group manager. You will also be responsible for the economy and follow-up of your own operations with a focus on agreed KPIs and goals.
Your tasks will include:
- Ensuring that maintenance assignments are carried out according to the assigned budget.
- Planning and risk assessing daily work.
- Leading technicians within the station and, when necessary, external resources.
- Reporting back/ordering assignments in accordance with specifications in the case management system (including finances).
- Ensuring that instructions and work methods for the relevant work area are developed, implemented, and communicated.
- Preparing and informing at meetings with other team leaders and departments.
- Promoting collaboration with others internally.
We offer you a role where you have the opportunity to develop in the field where you can influence, create results, and lead without being a manager.
Requirements
The ideal candidate is driven by delivering results and has the ability to plan and work strategically. We believe you can coach and lead others to perform, rather than just distribute and delegate tasks. You have good collaboration skills and can connect with different groups of people. We also see that you have the ability to establish a good structure in contexts where the way forward is not always entirely clear.
To succeed in the role, we see that you have:
- Experience working in a leadership role, such as a team leader, project manager, or supervisor.
- Education in electrical engineering or equivalent work experience.
- Good computer and system skills.
- Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
- Driver's license B, manual
It is an advantage if you also have experience/knowledge of:
- Substations at medium and high voltage levels.
- Relay protection and control systems.
