Description
We are now looking for summer and hourly substitutes who want to work at our short-term accommodation Byalagsgatan in Hisingen!
Byalagsgatan's short-term accommodation receives adults from 18 years old who have been granted assistance according to the Social Services Act.
This may involve individuals with acquired brain injuries or physical disabilities, who thus have extensive needs for care and recovery. It may also occur that individuals suffer from mental health issues or have previously had substance abuse problems. Challenging and self-harming behaviors may be present.
Responsibilities
As an employee at the short-term accommodation, you support the users with their daily needs and activities. Responsibilities in the role include:
- Personal care, hygiene, and support
- Participation in social activities, as time permits and based on individual conditions
- Support in meal situations
- Collaboration with relatives
- Documentation of interventions and users' development
- Medication management according to delegation
The work may also involve encounters with challenging or self-harming behaviors as well as substance abuse issues. Therefore, we actively work with low-affect responses to create calm and security.
Summer Substitute:
As a summer substitute, you work on a schedule. The shifts are scheduled for days and evenings, including every other weekend. You need to be able to work according to the schedule for several consecutive weeks during weeks 25–33. In your application, please specify which weeks you wish to work. There is an opportunity to start as an hourly substitute before the summer.
Hourly Substitute:
As an hourly substitute, you work as needed and input your availability yourself. Working hours vary between day, evening, awake night, and weekends.
Qualifications
To work as a substitute within functional support, you must be at least 18 years old, in accordance with the regulations on minors' working environment 14§ and appendix 2 1B (AFS 2023:2).
To be able to document, you need to master the Swedish language in both spoken and written form, which means a requirement for approved grades in Swedish 1, Swedish as a second language 1, or equivalent. Those who do not meet the qualification requirements in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1 may be offered to take a language test through the test user Educateit.
If you are a trained nursing assistant or have ongoing training to become a nursing assistant, it is an advantage. It is also advantageous if you have experience working in care and support.

You remain calm and secure in pressured and difficult situations. You can balance the demands placed on you and make well-founded decisions despite time pressure.
