Industrial Electrician at MAX IV

Your Team

The team “Electrical and powersupply systems” has overall responsibility for all electrical systems at MAX IV, throughout the entire lifecycle from design to operation and maintenance. Today, the team consists of 5 electricians and two electrical engineers.

Our system includes power installations (low voltage), lighting, telecommunication systems, process installations, electrical for HVAC systems, and network installations.

MAX IV is looking for a self-driven industrial electrician with experience from process or manufacturing industry.

Your tasks will include:

• Performing electrical installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting at the facility
• Building control cabinets
• Participating in installation planning for electrical work
• Material ordering
• Participating in electrical inspections
• Thermography of the electrical system

To be successful in this role, you need the following qualifications:

• Relevant electrical education and at least 5 years of experience as a self-driven electrician
• Good knowledge of standards within the discipline, e.g., Swedish Electrical Standards for electrical installations, Electrical Installation Regulations, control before commissioning, and maintenance of electrical systems
• Good knowledge of electrical distribution, electrical machines, and electrical measurement
• Good knowledge of reading drawings for control cabinets and external connections
• Good skills in Microsoft Windows and PC environments

The following are considered merits:

• Certificate in and experience with Hot Work
• Lift training and experience with installation at height
• Experience with electrical work in laboratory environments, process industry, and complex installations
• Experience with control cabinet installations
• Experience with connections (including soldering)
• Experience with network installations
• Worked as a lead installer
• Experience with thermography

As a person, you are a dynamic team player who appreciates variety. Since we work in an international environment at MAX IV, the job requires good knowledge of Swedish and English in both spoken and written form.

On-call duty may occur within the employment. A six-month probationary period may be applicable.
