Job Responsibilities

As a seasonal employee, you will work in our beautiful cemetery environments located at Skogskyrkogården, the old cemetery, and Bomhus cemetery.

We work outdoors regardless of the weather, and the job consists of maintenance and care of planting areas, lawn mowing, hedge trimming, planting flowers and other plants, as well as raking gravel graves. It may also involve edge trimming and maintenance of gravel paths, as well as simpler landscaping work.

If you enjoy working physically, have a spring in your step, like to put in effort and complete your tasks regardless of the weather, we believe you will thrive here. Listen to cemetery manager Louise, who has previously worked as a cemetery worker: “It is hard work, but there is also a charm in taking care of our environments, raking for half a workday in pouring rain with the knowledge that we do it to protect the environment that cemetery visitors come to.”

Qualifications

The tasks are physically demanding, so good physical condition, both strength and endurance, is required to manage the workdays during the period from April to October. High school education, good knowledge of the Swedish language, and a valid driver's license (B) are also required for the position.

We prefer that you have a sense of aesthetics and an interest in gardening and plants.

You are flexible in your approach and have a problem-solving and service-oriented demeanor towards your colleagues. You work in a structured and independent manner. Since you will also come into contact with visitors at the cemetery, you are expected to have a humble and respectful attitude.

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability when filling this position.

Scope

Full-time during the period from April 13 to October 9.
