Team Leader in Telecom and Fiber Technology

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Team Leader focusing on telecom and fiber technology, you will lead a skilled team of telecom technicians working with operations, maintenance, standard improvements, and new construction within telecom technology. Our projects include, among other things, optical and copper cables, traffic information systems, detectors, and data communication. You are responsible for ensuring that projects meet their goals safely and qualitatively and are involved in all phases from calculation and planning to execution, follow-up, and closure.

Examples of responsibilities and work areas:

• Lead, plan, and distribute daily work (personnel and work environment responsibility)
• Establish work preparations and safety planning in track environments
• Identify and manage risks
• Budget responsibility
• Utilize technical expertise for project-specific components

The position involves significant travel, so we are looking for someone who enjoys a mobile role and appreciates working in different locations across the country (approximately 100-150 travel days/year).

You will report to the Site Manager. Placement of the position will be agreed upon.

QUALIFICATIONS

To succeed in this role, we are looking for someone who works systematically and is used to planning, executing, following up, and delivering according to goals and deadlines. You have a good ability to communicate and collaborate with others as the work is carried out in close cooperation with both your own workgroup and other technical branches.

Work tasks in the railway sector require you to be attentive, meticulous, and prioritize safety. Good computer skills/administrative ability and the capacity to learn and understand new data systems are important, as tasks such as follow-up, reporting, material orders, and control documentation in various data systems are included in the job. Since the position involves travel, we place great emphasis on your flexibility.

Furthermore, we are looking for someone who has:

• High school education in electrical engineering, preferably with a focus on telecommunications, or equivalent experience
• Driver's license B

Meritorious:

• Post-secondary education
• Experience in contracting, preferably in the railway industry.
• Experience in telecom/optical/fiber work
• Previously worked in the Swedish Transport Administration's data environment
• Certified fiber technician
