Our Operations
The emergency department at Akademiska sjukhuset receives approximately 55,000 visits annually. The emergency department is open around the clock and is tasked with providing specialized medical care for acutely seriously ill or injured patients. We work in teams and therefore value good collaboration and professional treatment both to patients and colleagues. Your Mission
As a nursing assistant in the emergency department, you work in a team with nurses and doctors where you, as a nursing assistant, are responsible for basic care. You also perform medical technical tasks such as monitoring vital parameters, EKG, venipuncture, catheter insertion, and assist doctors in various procedures and examinations. In the emergency department, we handle causes of visits within several medical specialties such as internal medicine, surgery, and orthopedics.
Your Qualifications
We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant with proof of a protected professional title and at least 2 years of experience in inpatient care. Experience in emergency care is an advantage, as is having specialist training. We place great emphasis on personal suitability, where qualities such as being secure, empathetic, good at communicating, and having the ability to collaborate are highly valued.
We Offer
Permanent or temporary employment. Working hours according to preference. A probationary period may be applied. Recruitment is ongoing.
In the emergency department, we work in rotation according to a points model with reduced working hours. We offer a tailored introduction program. Our education team ensures that you receive continuous further education. We also offer competence development including the AMLS (Advanced Medical Life Support) course, study days twice a term, S-HLR for Children & Adults, and CBRNE (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosives – handling of releases of the mentioned substances).
