Our Operations

The Department of Orthopedics and Hand Surgery is a workplace in constant development, consisting of an orthopedic adult emergency department, management of acute and elective orthopedic conditions, and a pediatric orthopedic unit with both acute and elective services. The position includes work in the emergency department around the clock, ward work, elective consultations, and elective and emergency surgery.

The department has an academic profile with education for medical students and doctors at all stages of their careers, as well as other basic and specialist training for nurses. We conduct research with national and international partners and quality and patient safety work focusing on proactive operational development.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed physician with strong personal drive and a great interest in orthopedics, who wants to practice and develop orthopedics in Sweden. The work requires good collaboration and communication skills, humility, and presupposes pedagogical ability as well as interest in research and operational development. Ongoing or completed research projects are highly meritorious.

Your Competence

We are looking for someone who is flexible and easily adapts to changing circumstances. You take initiative, work well with others, and demonstrate good judgment in actions and decision-making.

We Offer

We offer 2 specialist training positions in orthopedics. Permanent full-time employment with start date according to agreement. Part of the training may be conducted at other units such as Enköping Hospital, private units, and the Emergency Care Unit. Night, evening, and weekend work is included in the position. Start immediately or according to agreement.
