Our Operations

We are a surgical unit, specialized in Urology, providing both planned and emergency care. Here, patients with diseases of the urinary tract are treated and operated on. We perform major abdominal surgery on the bladder and kidneys, robot-assisted surgery mixed with smaller urological procedures. In our emergency operations, we handle major kidney trauma, injuries to the penis and testicles, sepsis, and acute bleeding from the urinary tract. The Urology department is a small and family-like department with a strong focus on education and competence.

Your Mission

With us, we work in care teams, where you as a nurse can focus on the nursing profession. Each care team has one to two nursing assistants. We work together with physiotherapists, pharmacists, and doctors in the department. Tasks include standard postoperative care and pain pumps, alternating with leading and following in acute situations. You will also learn to educate patients in self-care and plan care together with other instances. We also have a close collaboration with our outpatient clinic, and there is an opportunity to later work with patient admissions for elective care. There are great opportunities for further development and long-term satisfaction.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a licensed nurse

We Offer

The Urology department is an inpatient department where you are offered a 100% position, day and evening, with the possibility of working nights. Here, 15 patients are cared for around the clock. We have a rolling, yet flexible schedule that takes your preferences into account when planning.

We offer:

• Individually tailored introduction of 4-5 weeks depending on previous experience.
• A mentorship program in your first year with us, for a secure start in Urology.
• Regular training in concepts such as SMART, TUB, CPR, mini-lectures, and reflection.
