We are Akademiska sjukhuset – one of Sweden's leading university hospitals. As a regional hospital and provider of highly specialized care, we offer care to two million people in Central Sweden. Something is always happening here – a new life is born, a grandmother is operated on, a colleague is celebrated as a hero. With us, you will experience both tough challenges and fantastic events, in a strong community with colleagues. Our Operations
At NIMA, the neurosurgery intermediate care unit, neurosurgical and neurological patients in need of intermediate or postoperative care are treated. Some examples of reasons patients are cared for at NIMA include various brain tumors, brain hemorrhages, skull trauma, spinal trauma, epilepsy surgery, and care after thrombectomy. Our acute intake mostly consists of intermediate care patients who are too ill for a regular ward but do not require full-scale intensive care. Our postoperative patients are usually part of a planned operation and come to us for a shorter period postoperatively.
Together with skilled nursing assistants and doctors, we form a winning and developing team. We have a good collaboration with Neurointensiven, which is located on the same floor and wards, to make care as efficient and safe as possible for our patients. Our expertise is advanced monitoring of the body's vital parameters to create the best possible environment for the brain, thereby reducing the risk of complications. We offer you an introduction tailored to your background and experience as a nurse. If you are a newly graduated nurse, we offer you seven weeks of onboarding. Our educational nurse is responsible for introductory days that you will attend during your onboarding or shortly after you start having patients on your own. She is available for regular training and development during your workday.
Your Qualifications and Skills

We Offer
