Our Operations

The Neuro Intensive Care Unit (NIVA) is a highly specialized intensive care unit at one of Sweden's largest hospitals. We care for children and adults with, among other things, traumatic injuries, cerebral hemorrhages, and other injuries affecting the brain and spinal cord. NIVA has 8 care places and we are about 100 employees. We have a good working environment and close collaboration with other intensive care units. We offer you a very exciting job in highly specialized neuro intensive care where you have a unique opportunity to grow and develop in your role as a specialist nurse.

Your Mission

We offer you an interesting and varied job in highly specialized intensive care. As an intensive care nurse with us at NIVA, you will be responsible for planning, leading, and distributing work together with the team around the patient. You will have significant involvement in your work and the opportunity to develop professionally. You are welcome to come and shadow us for a day if you want to gain insight into neuro intensive care.

Your Qualifications

You are a trained intensive care nurse, whether newly graduated or experienced. We place great emphasis on personal qualities such as flexibility, self-awareness, and communication skills.

Your Competence

You are an initiative-taking and flexible person who sees opportunities in changes and quickly adapts to new conditions. With a stable and calm approach, you handle stressful situations and maintain focus on what is most important. You work in a structured manner, planning and prioritizing effectively to ensure high quality within given time frames.

We Offer

A permanent position according to agreement with an individually tailored introduction. We staff all hours of the day with the same number of staff, which means rotating shifts with day/evening/night in a point model. The more inconvenient hours you work, the less you work overall. As an intensive care nurse at NIVA, you will receive ongoing competence development and four training days per year.
