Little hearts need great care! We are a small hospital in the big world, and it is precisely in the small that our greatness lies. Here, all the expertise a sick child may need is present, along with good collaboration, respect, and care. Our Operations

The pediatric department for blood and tumor diseases is a care unit for children aged 0–18 years, with associated day care and outpatient clinic. We conduct highly specialized pediatric oncology and are one of the six pediatric oncology centers in the country. Here we receive patients for investigation, diagnosis, and treatment from the entire region.

Since the beginning of 2022, we have been performing stem cell transplants in the department. The operations also include an engaged research unit that supports pediatric oncology research. We have good opportunities for education and further training, and this is something we encourage.

Your Mission

As a nursing assistant in pediatric oncology, you will work with the usual tasks of a nursing assistant. You are an important part of the team around the child and their family, together with doctors, nurses, and paramedical staff. Much of the work takes place in close collaboration between the nurse and the nursing assistant, where you plan and prioritize your work both independently and together with the nurse you share patients with.

We are looking for someone who sees basic care as equally important as the child's physical activation and mental well-being. You take your own initiatives and see the opportunities to do a little extra for the child. Documentation is an obvious part of patient safety work – you document during your shift and actively work based on the care plans.

The Convention on the Rights of the Child and the child perspective are always the foundation of our work. Therefore, we place great importance on preparations and making children, youth, and their relatives involved in the care we provide.

Your Qualifications

• Trained nursing assistant
• We want you to have previous experience working in a hospital
• Previous experience working with sick children and experience in pediatric oncology is desirable and meritorious

You are confident, have self-awareness, and the ability to distinguish between personal and professional. You take responsibility for your task and drive your processes forward in a structured way. You remain calm and controlled under stress or in pressured situations and focus on the right things. You plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively. You work well with others, are attentive, and resolve conflicts in a constructive manner.

We Offer

We offer a permanent full-time position. The work is primarily scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends. Start date by agreement.
