Our Operations

Are you a nursing assistant interested in highly specialized neurological care? Do you want to work in a department with both emergency admissions and planned admissions, investigations, and treatments? Then 85D is the workplace for you!

In the neuroscience department 85D, patients with a wide variety of neurological diagnoses are cared for. We have several specialized teams within specific neurological diagnoses such as epilepsy, motor neuron diseases, Parkinson's disease, and DBS (deep brain stimulation). The department has 12 beds. During the week, we have two rooms where we conduct 24/7 EEG monitoring for patients being investigated for or confirmed with epilepsy. A large part of our planned care involves regional patients from other parts of Sweden.

We use digital touch screens where we work with the tool DiViS, which allows us to visualize current occupancy, coordinate and prioritize resources and activities, and also facilitates communication within the team. Your Mission

We work multidisciplinary and have close collaboration with doctors, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, social workers, as well as dietitians and speech therapists. Nursing assistants and nurses work in teams where nursing assistants are responsible for basic care and nurses are responsible for specific care. Being a nursing assistant with us is an exciting job where you meet people in many different situations. You become part of a skilled team that supports and helps each other while you will also work independently. We Offer

We offer a permanent position.

Probationary employment may be applied. Start date according to agreement. Working hours will primarily be days and evenings, but some night shifts may occur.

Within the area of operations, we want to invest in the professional development of our employees, and therefore we offer you continuous training days and weekly lectures. We also have a basic course in neurosurgery lasting six full days per semester. The goal is for all staff in the department to be offered to attend the course after about one year. Newly graduated nursing assistants are offered a professional introduction – GRUNDUS.
