Opportunity to apply for student salary
Are you a nursing student interested in working in psychiatric ward 3A or psychiatric ward 3B after completing your education and graduating as a nurse? We offer you, who are starting semester 6 of the nursing program and who choose to start your career with us after completing your studies, the opportunity to apply for a student salary during your last semester (semester 6).
Grow into the role
As a newly graduated nurse with us at Akademiska Hospital, you will have varied tasks and a safe and educational start in your new profession. Sometimes the step between education and working life feels large, and to give you the opportunity to grow into your new role, you will become part of our clinical development year (KUÅ) during your first year with us at Akademiska Hospital. KUÅ is a mandatory professional introduction for newly graduated nurses employed in Region Uppsala, aimed at sharpening your clinical skills, networking with other recent graduates, and having reflection time with experienced nurses. Our operations
The psychiatric area provides highly specialized care for individuals with severe mental illnesses. Psychiatric wards 3A and 3B belong to the section for affective disorders. We are inpatient wards with 13 and 12 beds respectively for the investigation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients primarily with affective disorders, mainly bipolar syndromes, severe depression, and anxiety disorders. In psychiatric ward 3A, we also care for patients with eating disorders. Four of the beds are linked to this treatment.
Your qualifications and skills
We are looking for you who are a nursing student starting T6. You are interested in psychiatry and want to start working in ward 3A or 3B after completing your degree. We place great emphasis on personal suitability, such as being responsible and motivated in your work. You have a flexible and curious approach and good collaboration skills.
We offer
We offer you a permanent position as a nursing assistant. Upon submission of your license, the position will be converted to a permanent position as a nurse.
