Our Operations

The Sterile Technology Department is responsible for sterile goods management at Uppsala University Hospital, Region Uppsala, and external customers. The operation is certified according to ISO 9001:2015 and sterile goods management is conducted in accordance with legislation, authority requirements, regulations, and directives. The operation runs around the clock.

Your Mission

As a sterile technician/instrument technician in our Sterile Technology Department, you will work with cleaning, disinfecting, and checking surgical instruments used in healthcare. You will work with both manual and mechanical methods and follow strict routines and regulations to ensure the highest possible patient safety. The position also involves handling and packing instruments as well as keeping track of inventory and materials. This position is located in the Sterile Technology Department's depot, where operations are conducted during the day and evening.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for someone with training as a sterile technician or cleanroom operator with experience in sterile technical work or equivalent competence. We expect you to be accustomed to working in an environment with high hygiene demands and have the ability to work systematically and accurately under high pressure. You should also have IT skills and experience working with documentation systems. You must have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

Your Competence

We see you as a responsible and meticulous person. You have good collaboration skills and are service-oriented. You should also be flexible and adaptable to changing working conditions, as well as have the ability to work independently but also in a team.
