The Role of Dietitian

We are now looking for a licensed dietitian for the rehabilitation center in Höglandet who wants to be part of a curious and forward-thinking dietitian group with great commitment. Together, we form a central resource both within inpatient and outpatient care in the region, based at Högland Hospital in Eksjö. We meet our patients both at the hospital and digitally. We match our respective areas of expertise with the needs of our patients in surgical and medical care, women's health care, and intensive care.

We offer you a permanent full-time position, starting by agreement.

Your Future Workplace

The rehabilitation center is a regional clinic that provides specialized rehabilitation throughout the county and within both primary and specialized care.

Your workplace is at the rehabilitation center at Högland Hospital where we are about 75 employees. We are: physiotherapists, occupational therapists, dietitians, social workers, psychologists, speech therapists, rehab assistants, and administrative staff, and we all work closely with our collaborating clinics at the hospital as well as health centers and municipalities.

The rehabilitation center is a county-wide clinic, so colleagues are available at all three hospitals in the county (Ryhov County Hospital in Jönköping and Värnamo Hospital). At Högland Hospital, we are a cohesive dietitian group that helps each other in daily work.

In daily work, you will also be part of interdisciplinary teams around the patient - both with other rehabilitation staff and with doctors and nurses. Some educational initiatives are also included in the position. For example, you may be the one who lectures at patient schools or trains healthcare staff on nutrition. You also work in our outpatient care, where you independently assess, treat, and follow up patients either individually, in groups, or digitally depending on what suits best. You represent an important resource in your consultative function towards nurses and doctors in primary care. In this way, you contribute to good and close care being provided at home for more people.

To ensure you have a good start with us, you will receive a tailored introduction and shadowing based on your experiences. For those who are less experienced, we also offer mentorship where an experienced colleague shares their knowledge and is available as a sounding board.
