Do you want to help build one of the new regiments that the Swedish Armed Forces have been tasked to establish? The government has decided to increase defense capabilities by re-establishing several regiments, of which Bergslagen's Artillery Regiment, A 9 in Kristinehamn, is one. The regiment will be responsible for training two to three artillery battalions and a military base.

We are now looking for a professional officer

We are now looking for a professional officer who wants to serve in the planning department of the regiment's staff.

About the department

A 9 is under construction and currently has about 175 employees. A 9 collaborates with both P 4 and A 8 to support A 9 in the re-establishment of Bergslagen's Artillery Regiment in Kristinehamn.

The planning department is the regiment's department for long-term planning regarding the production of military units, mobilization, and defense planning. The planning is carried out in close cooperation with the exercise and training department for long-term exercises. In the planning department, we are four people working together as a team, supporting each other in planning and execution.

Furthermore, the department is responsible for the development of production conditions (firing ranges).

Main tasks

As the deputy head of the department, you will support the head of the department (planning chief) and be responsible for defense planning. You will work both independently and lead planning in groups within your own department and/or in temporarily assembled working groups within the staff and regiment. The activities may vary in nature and scope, where a flexible approach and task adaptation are prerequisites for achieving expected results.

The tasks mainly consist of, either independently or in a group, being responsible for, leading, or assisting in:

• The regiment's production planning. (B+1 and beyond).
• The unit's overall planning activities.
• Development of operational, defense, and mobilization plans
• Coordination of the regiment's tasks and/or planning within the framework of readiness and mobilization.
• Long-term operational coordination with other units and/or other actors.
• Development of production conditions.
• Support in military unit planning, military unit evaluation, mobilization, and readiness training.

REQUIREMENTS/Qualifications

• Professional officer OF 3/SO 8
• Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English
• Good computer skills and good knowledge of MS Office
• Driving license B

Employment form: Permanent employment, the Swedish Armed Forces applies a 6-month probationary period
