As Operations Manager, you are responsible for operations, quality, and sustainable development within two important areas: water and waste management. The position means that you play a key role in planning, monitoring, and developing the operations to ensure a pleasant and safe environment for our residents. In this role, you are responsible for personnel, working environment, and finances, where part of the responsibility includes managing and planning the detailed budget for operations and providing documentation for investments for the facilities you are responsible for.

In the team, you have 6 dedicated employees and a supervisor. Your personnel responsibilities include handling personnel issues, recruitment, and professional development. In your role, you are also responsible for ensuring that the work is carried out in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines.

The daily work consists of broad contact paths and collaboration with other departments within the municipality, authorities, and external actors.

Work location: Högsby with the possibility of remote work

We are looking for a present leader with great commitment and a drive to help develop the administration to the next level. You are attentive, solution-oriented, and enjoy close collaboration with your colleagues. You also have the ability to motivate others and create a safe and inclusive working environment.

We see that you have:

• A university degree in construction engineering, water management, environmental technology, or a similar field. Alternatively, you have other education/experience that is deemed equivalent.
• We would like you to have experience in one of the areas of water systems or waste management.
• Several years of leadership experience in technical operations.
• Experience with budget work, personnel management, and driving change and development processes.
  

It is an advantage if you have:

• Experience from a politically governed organization
• Knowledge of procurement according to LOU/LUF and work with environmental and sustainability issues within property management
