Shape the Future of Healthcare – Become One of Our 3 Hospital Managers in Region Kronoberg
Are you ready to take on the challenge of leading our operations at our two hospitals? The hospital care consists of 25 units with over 3,200 employees providing specialized healthcare in Växjö and Ljungby. We aim to offer safe and secure care to patients with the greatest needs, within the framework of our resources. We are now looking for three hospital managers who, together with the units, will strengthen our development.
About the Position
The role of hospital manager is strategic, which means that your responsibility, commitment, and leadership promote quality and development work both today and to meet future demands and expectations for hospital care. Care should be provided and planned with a person-centered approach so that our patients feel involved in their own care. The focus in hospital care is both on medical development and the development of new working methods in close collaboration between professions and units at both hospitals.
In Region Kronoberg, as in the rest of the country, a transition to good and close care is underway. The role of primary care as a hub will be developed in constructive collaboration between hospital care and other areas of healthcare and social services, including municipal care. The role entails shared responsibility for operations, personnel, and finances for hospital care, with particular responsibility for leading and following up on the units within the area of responsibility.
The mission of hospital care is extensive, and change work is ongoing in several areas both in Region Kronoberg and within the Southern Healthcare Region. Additionally, work is underway regarding the hospitals' preparedness capacity. As a hospital manager, you will be responsible for several hospital-wide processes and development areas.
As a Hospital Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Promoting development within the medical field and hospital care's working methods with a holistic view to ensure that patients receive safe and secure care.
- Highlighting the work for a good working environment and competence supply.
- Achieving Region Kronoberg's overarching goals for good care, being an attractive employer, and maintaining a balanced economy.
The position is a permanent employment in Region Kronoberg with a managerial appointment for 4 years. You will report to the area manager for hospital care and be part of the hospital care management group.
The placement is in Ljungby. (The hospital manager for medical services has a choice of placement in Växjö/Ljungby, and the Hospital Manager in Växjö is located in Växjö.)
Qualifications
You are a leader with commitment and the ability to create conditions for today's and tomorrow's healthcare. We want you to be results-oriented and have a strategic and analytical approach. You are a clear leader who is communicative and works for good relationships and collaborations. Furthermore, you have a very good ability to make decisions from a holistic perspective and can steer the operations to achieve set goals. In addition, you have good prioritization skills and are comfortable delegating. You are open to thinking innovatively and have a visionary outlook while maintaining high integrity and personal stability. We expect you to enjoy being at the center of events, in both favorable and adverse conditions.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Several years of management and leadership experience in healthcare, including responsibility for operations, personnel, and finances.
- Experience leading other managers within large and complex organizations at a strategic level.
- A relevant degree from a university.
- Relevant leadership training for the position.
- Experience collaborating with trade unions.
- A valid driver's license (B).
It is advantageous if you have:
- Experience in politically governed organizations.
- Experience driving operational development and change work from a patient perspective.
As a person, you are humble, attentive, and unpretentious with the ability to create engagement and be a culture-building representative for the organization's values is a strong driving force for you. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. The position will be security classified and requires a successful security screening and background check in accordance with the Security Protection Act. The security screening process may take longer than usual due to these requirements.
