About the Company

They also design and manufacture innovative components for space systems.
GKN Aerospace in Hallstahammar is now looking for robot operators for their shell and wax departments, which are two parts of the casting process for superalloys. Casting of gas turbine components in nickel and cobalt-based alloys takes place under high vacuum in their facility.
Your Responsibilities
You will primarily be responsible, together with a team, for monitoring and operating a process robot that builds ceramic molds by dipping wax parts in ceramic liquid. The work is physical and varies between manual tasks, machine monitoring, and simpler system management.
Tasks that may occur in the role include:
Monitoring the robot cell
Handling the input and output of products in the robot cell
Control and replenishment of sand, liquids, and dipping tanks to maintain production flow
Material handling and heavy lifting in connection with replenishment and production
Ongoing time reporting and registration in the company's business system.
The position operates under a 2-shift system where you work the following during respective weeks:
Morning: 06:00–14:00 (Monday–Thursday), 06:00–12:00 (Friday)
Afternoon: 14:00–22:00 (Monday–Thursday), 12:00–18:00 (Friday)
Your Profile
We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in machines, technology, and mechanics. You easily grasp instructions and express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. You are flexible and enjoy varied tasks, as well as adapting to the needs of the business. We also see that you are proactive and driven to help develop the business forward.
To succeed in the role, we would like you to have experience from heavy industry, operator roles, or similar. We also wish that you have:
Complete high school diploma
B driver's license
Forklift license (or the possibility to train if needed)
Can work 2 shifts
Industrial technical education, experience with robots or CNC machines is an advantage.
The position requires that you undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where GKN's customer has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, involve requirements for specific citizenship.

In this recruitment, GKN Aerospace collaborates with Skill. The position involves a consultancy assignment for 6 months with very good opportunities for extension or employment at GKN. The selection process will begin after 5/1.
