At Marielund's home care, you will be part of a wonderful team that works together to provide our citizens with the best possible care and support. We collectively take responsibility for creating a good work environment, and there is always the opportunity for collegial support in daily work. The workplace is partly in the homes of our citizens and partly in our newly renovated premises, centrally located by Österängsparken, a facility we share with four other home care groups, managers, coordinators, and licensed personnel.

We are currently looking for a care assistant at 75%, with the possibility of full-time, for Marielund's home care within the Health and Care Administration in Östersund Municipality. Working hours are scheduled for days, evenings, and weekends. We have a needs schedule where you have the opportunity to influence your own schedule to a large extent. Currently, the scheduling rules are that care staff work four weekday evenings and seven weekend shifts per scheduling period of five weeks, where evenings and Monday mornings are counted as weekends.

Your new job
As a care assistant in home care, you work with personal care and service in citizens' homes. You work to promote the physical, mental, and social health of the citizens you assist. Your mission is to support the citizen and facilitate daily life. You provide personal care based on individual needs and perform delegated health and medical care tasks, such as specific care and rehabilitation.

In your work, you move between citizens by bicycle or with the municipality's cars and therefore need to be able to operate both of these vehicles. You work closely with other care assistants and nursing aides, but also with the municipality's licensed personnel such as occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and district nurses. Another important task is to regularly document in our operational systems.

  • Respond to alarms from citizens
  • Assist colleagues in their work

Your qualifications

Requirements

  • Care assistant education
  • Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written
  • Good computer skills
  • Driver's license B
  • Ability to cycle

Meritorious

  • Experience working in home care
  • Experience with delegated care tasks
  • Familiar with using phone and computer as work tools
