I am looking for a personal assistant for myself, a woman in her 40s with a muscle disease, residing in central Västerås. The schedule is based on 24-hour shifts, so it is essential that you can work long shifts, although shorter shifts may occasionally be relevant.

Your tasks will include assisting with dressing and undressing, everything one might do in a home, as well as accompanying me during studies, work, training, and leisure activities.

It is important that you respect my right to decide over my daily life, that you can stay in the background, and that you have great respect for my privacy and for those I socialize with. Other qualities I value are loyalty and a sense of responsibility. Furthermore, your workplace will be wherever I am.

The work shifts can vary greatly. Sometimes you may only need to be present, while other times it can be very busy.

I like to try new things, so you may be asked to do tasks based on my verbal instructions that you have not done before.

What you need as a personal assistant is:

- a flexible mindset and sometimes the ability to step in at short notice

- no issues with back, shoulders, or knees.

- not allergic (to e.g., animals, nuts, perfume, and smoke) as you will encounter these during work

- fluent in speaking, writing, and understanding Swedish or English, as you must understand my instructions

- not afraid to try new things and easily adaptable to what the situation requires

- meticulous, organized, and respectful that it is my home you are working in

- a valid driver's license and access to a car

- between 20 and 50 years old

- smoke-free

The shifts are 24 hours long. 6 shifts per month on a 4-week rolling schedule.

There is a collective agreement with Kommunal.
