Your new job

As a cleaner, you will be part of the technical office and the Operations Service department, which aims to free up time and relieve core operations.

We want to make everyday life easier for the municipality's employees and contribute to making Jönköping Municipality a more attractive workplace. The services include cleaning, receptions, courier services, caretaking, conference services, and cafés.

We are now looking for a temporary cleaner for the Special Cleaning unit. As a cleaner in Special Cleaning, you will perform special assignments upon request in all premises that the municipality rents or owns.

Common tasks may include:

• Move-out cleaning
• Construction cleaning
• Sanitation
• High-rise cleaning
• Window cleaning
• Floor care

The cleaning work is performed both manually and mechanically. In your work, you will be equipped with a tablet where cleaning routines for different cleaning objects are outlined and where all our documentation takes place. In some areas, we are currently testing cleaning robots, which does not change the fact that our work requires physical effort from employees.

You will work together with colleagues, coordinators, managers, and customers. Together as a team, you will plan, execute, and ensure professional cleaning work at your sites. The position applies flexible working hours with the opportunity to adjust your workday within given frameworks.

As a cleaner, you contribute to an attractive and safe place for everyone to live, reside, and work in.

Your qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should be a stable and secure person with a good ability to adapt your approach based on whom you meet. You can plan and drive your work independently to achieve results and meet deadlines. You enjoy working both independently and in a team and have a good ability to adapt to changing circumstances. You listen and communicate well with others and contribute to a positive work environment through your demeanor.

Requirements

• Completed upper secondary education or equivalent as assessed by the employer
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language, in both speech, writing, and comprehension
• Driving license B
• Previous experience in cleaning work

Meritorious

• Education in PRYL and/or SRY
• Knowledge of cleaning materials and machine operation
• Experience in sanitation, window cleaning, cleaning public premises, or move-out and construction cleaning

Good to know

The recruitment refers to a temporary position at 100% for 3 months starting in February or by agreement, with good chances of extension.
