The position offers
A varied and developing job in close collaboration with several units within the Karlsborg garrison. You will work with the systems that keep the Armed Forces' operations running – everything from vehicles and weapons to optics, communication, and medical materials.

Technical Department (TekA)
The Technical Department (TekA) belongs to LogE and is responsible for ongoing technical maintenance within the garrison. The department acts as support in technical matters, training, and system support.
TekA consists of two sections:
- Technical Customer Reception (TKM): responsible for customer contact, planning of material maintenance, and operation of the workshop and care facility.
- Technical System Support (TSS): works with training, operational support, supervision, and repairs – and supports units during exercises and in daily operations.
Section for Technical System Support (TSS)
As a technician at TSS, you are expected to have a broad technical interest and a desire to develop in several areas.
You will:
- Work with material systems used throughout K 3.
- Support training activities and carry out repairs, inspections, and troop repairs.
- Participate in and eventually lead technical training.
- Contribute to technical support and knowledge development within the garrison.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Swedish citizenship
- B driver's license (manual transmission)
- Civil technical education at least at the high school level or experience deemed equivalent by the employer.
Meritorious:
- Experience working with vehicles, mechanics, IT, electrical, or telecommunication materials
- Post-secondary education with a technical focus
- Experience with the PRIO and LIFT systems
- C driver's license

Employment type: Permanent. The Armed Forces applies a six-month probationary period if you are not employed within the authority.

Salary: Individual salary setting according to the Armed Forces' agreement
Work on evenings and weekends may occur.
Combat training will be conducted for those who do not have military basic training.

The Life Regiment Hussars, K 3, has fast and powerful units and a long experience in the intelligence field. K 3 trains a ranger battalion and an intelligence battalion.
The ranger battalion is a unit with high mobility that should be able to be first on the scene during an operation. The intelligence battalion delivers intelligence by using advanced technology, personnel on the ground, and unmanned aerial vehicles (RPAS).
At K 3, there is also the Armed Forces' survival school and the Aviation Unit, which is responsible for remotely piloted aircraft systems and military parachuting. There are also support functions such as the Garrison Unit and the Logistics Unit. Please read more on this page.
