About the Company

ProGreen Sweden AB works to strengthen biodiversity and combat the spread of invasive plant species. We develop and use sustainable and modern methods for the identification, control, and long-term management of invasive species in both urban environments and sensitive natural areas.

We are based in Halmstad, Halland. A large part of our work takes place in Halland and Skåne, but we also take on assignments in other parts of Sweden when our services are requested.

We primarily work for the public sector, such as municipalities, county administrative boards, and the Transport Administration, but we also carry out assignments for other societal actors.

Job Description

We are now looking for two qualified employees to join our field team.

The daily work mainly consists of:

Excavation of invasive plants with specialized spades, including root systems

Manual pulling of simpler plant species

Cutting of roots and trimming of seed heads

Control with brush cutters when the method is appropriate

Mechanical control primarily, supplemented with chemical and thermal methods

Documentation, inventory, and planning of interventions

Work in road environments, nature reserves, public places, and forest terrain

Transport and handling of plant waste

Carrying equipment in hard-to-reach areas

Use of electric cross-cut saws for certain tasks

In winter, the following is also included:

Snow duty – sanding and salting of minor roads

Manual snow shoveling for property owners

The work is physically demanding and takes place outdoors in all weather conditions.

Training and Internal Introduction

Before employment begins, mandatory training includes:

Special tools and thermal equipment

Work in marshland with waders

Regulations and safety in nature reserves

Protective equipment and safety procedures

Environmentally adapted work methods

Qualifications

Requirements:

Experience working with invasive plants or other relevant experience

Swedish spoken and written

English spoken and written

Good physical condition and experience with outdoor work

Meritorious:

B driver's license (required for positions involving travel between workplaces)

APV 1.1, 1.2, and 1.3

Experience in combating invasive plant species

Experience in nature conservation, road work, or other fieldwork
