The Green Cluster is looking for a Forestry Process Leader

The Green Cluster Nuntorp is seeking a forestry-engaged process leader at 40% for the project 'What if! The Innovation Lab for Climate-Smart Forestry'.

Project Description

We are looking for someone who wants to lead a policy lab for a few years where municipalities, regions, forest owners, researchers, and innovation actors in Västra Götaland collaborate to explore and develop new working methods, governance tools, and policies.

The policy lab aims for municipalities and regions to provide forest owners with better conditions to make long-term decisions.

By gathering voices from across society – from municipal planning and academic research to practical forest operators and policy developers – a vibrant arena for joint learning and innovative thinking is created.

The project is run by the Fyrbodal Municipal Association in close collaboration with the Västra Götaland Region, the municipalities of Vänersborg and Bengtsfors, private forest owners, and the development arena Green Cluster. Research from SLU, Södertörn University, the University of Gothenburg, and RISE provides expertise in forest planning, cultural geography, forest policy, policy labs, and design methodology. The scientific foundation gives the project a stable base, while co-creation with local actors ensures real-world relevance.

As a process leader for What if!, you will be part of our development team at the Green Cluster. You will work closely with the staff of the Green Cluster, our partners in Arena Skog, and with the involved collaborators in What if!

About the Green Cluster

The Green Cluster is a knowledge and development center within the green industries, based in Fyrbodal. We offer networks and support to entrepreneurs and businesses in the green sectors and serve as a meeting place for idea exchange and innovation.

The Green Cluster is an economic association located at Nuntorps Gård. Currently, we have seven employees at the office. We are part of a business village with access to a restaurant and conference facilities.

Your Responsibilities

As a process leader, you will:

· Lead and coordinate the project's activities

· Build networks between the project's involved parties

· Together with a communicator, be responsible for the project's communication

· Together with the project's economist, be responsible for reporting and accounting.

Qualifications

· Experience in establishing a development operation

· Experience in project management

· Good ability to communicate both in writing and verbally

· B driver's license and access to a car.

Meritorious

· Academic forestry education or equivalent

· Relevant experience related to forestry industries

· Contacts and networks within the forestry sector in Västra Götaland.

Personal Qualities

We are looking for someone who is good at getting people to collaborate and has an easy time establishing new contacts with businesses, organizations, and academic partners.

You are attentive to the needs and challenges of businesses and have an interest in development issues and the green transition. By being proactive and structured, you ensure that goals, timelines, and budgets are met.

You have a solution-focused coaching approach.

Employment Form

· Fixed-term employment 2026-2027, 40%. There may be opportunities to combine with new assignments within the Green Cluster in the future.

· Start date: 20260101 or by agreement

· Interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis

· Salary: Monthly salary by agreement
