Your Role

As a Surface Treatment Technician at Saab Muskö, you will be part of a close-knit team responsible for the maintenance and service of ships and submarines. You will have the opportunity to work both on board the vessels and in the workshop, with varied tasks such as:

• Corrosion protection painting and blasting
• Sanding, painting, and cleaning
• Painting work and material preparation
• Hand lamination and vacuum infusion (if needed).

Your Profile

We are looking for someone with experience in both surface treatment and working with composite materials, preferably from work or hobby projects. You have practical skills and thrive in a workshop environment, where you solve problems effectively. As a person, you are meticulous, responsible, and can work both independently and in a team. We offer a dynamic work environment with great opportunities for both personal and professional development. Therefore, we appreciate that you are curious, driven, and always want to grow.

To thrive in this role, we believe you have:

• Relevant experience or education in industry, workshop, or surface treatment
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• A driver's license and access to your own car

It is an advantage if you have:

• Experience in composite work (hand lamination, infusion)
• Lift certification and experience in operating lifts
• Fall protection training, thermosetting plastic training, and hot work

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable security protection regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, involve requirements for certain citizenship.
