Do you have experience in installation technical property management and are you interested in energy optimization? We are now looking for an Energy Technician – a role where you will have the opportunity to contribute to a more sustainable future and make a real difference in both big and small ways.

About the position

As an Energy Technician at Heimstaden, you will play a key role in our efforts to reduce energy consumption and increase sustainability in our properties. You will work both operationally and strategically to optimize the operation of our technical systems in the properties, focusing on energy, economy, and the environment. You will also ensure that repairs and maintenance of technical equipment are carried out, as well as support and develop our Property Managers.

Your base will be in Eskilstuna, but you can also live and work from Örebro, Strängnäs, or Katrineholm, which are the other locations included in the region you will support. You will collaborate closely with our local teams and contribute your technical expertise to the management.

As part of our national operations team, you will have access to a network of colleagues with broad expertise and experience. The team works together to drive development and share best practices across the country. You will report to your immediate supervisor who is based in Stockholm.

In your role, you will be responsible for:

• Regular follow-up of energy and water in our system (Vitec Energy Monitoring)
• Operational monitoring and alarm management
• Troubleshooting and optimization of technical installations (heating, ventilation, cooling, control systems)
• Investigating and estimating suitable ESG (energy and water-saving) investments for better primary energy performance and energy class
• Participation in installation projects (function, material selection, operation instructions)
• Contact person for local energy companies and contractors in technical matters
• Ensuring maintenance and repair of technical equipment

Qualifications

• We are looking for someone with a technical high school education or vocational training in operations and maintenance, or equivalent experience. Experience in operational optimization and energy efficiency is considered an advantage.
• You will work with analyses and reports related to our energy statistics, which is an important part of the role. Previous experience in analyzing energy flows in a property and linking these to energy investments and presenting them in Excel or similar formats is a big plus.
• Experience in procurement of contractor services is also an advantage.
