Waste Loader Drivers Wanted

We are looking for four waste loader drivers who will play an important role in the collection and transport of large containers with municipal waste. With us, you will work with efficient and safe transports that contribute to a cleaner and more sustainable urban environment every day.

Every day, all year round, we provide 1.6 million Stockholmers with clean and good tap water, treat wastewater, and ensure that waste is properly managed. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The Waste Department is facing many exciting challenges and therefore needs to recruit four waste loader drivers. The position involves transporting and loading containers with waste and tipping them at designated locations. Together with us, you will be part of a team responsible for ensuring that Stockholmers have their waste collected in a sustainable and cost-effective manner.

Examples of job duties:

• Collect large containers, tip them, and drive them back based on established routes
• Conduct safety inspections and daily maintenance checks on vehicles
• Ensure vehicles are dropped off and picked up for service and repairs
• Drive vehicles to annual inspections
• Ensure that vehicles are kept clean and well-maintained both inside and out

The position is a permanent employment with a six-month probation period, located at our facility in Högdalen.

QUALIFICATIONS

As a person, you take great responsibility for your work and drive it forward in an independent and structured way. You are communicative and have a service-oriented approach, while also being flexible and able to adapt when circumstances change. You take initiative, solve problems, and collaborate well with others to achieve common goals.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Driver's license with at least C category
• Valid professional competence certificate
• At least five years of relevant work experience in a similar role
• Experience driving waste loaders and managing container pickups in urban environments.
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

Meritorious:

• Experience working as a waste loader driver in Stockholm City’s assignments
• Experience in supervisory tasks.
