About the Position

We are looking for two skilled and experienced welders for assignments at Muskövarvet. The position encompasses a wide range of tasks such as construction, repair, maintenance, and building of durable structures – primarily in aluminum, but also in stainless steel and steel.

Muskövarvet offers comprehensive solutions for larger constructions as well as smaller and more specialized projects within steel construction. The role is varied and suits someone who enjoys taking responsibility, working independently, and wants to continue developing in advanced welding and metalworking.

Please Note: Muskövarvet is a security-protected workplace. This means you must be a Swedish citizen, have a clean criminal record, and be approved in a security review with a background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585).

Responsibilities 
  • Welding of aluminum and stainless structures according to drawings
  • Repair and maintenance

Location: Muskö in Haninge municipality 

Scope: Full-time, desired start as soon as possible.

Working Hours: Daytime

About You

We are looking for someone with at least three years of experience as a welder. You are self-driven, service-oriented, communicative, and have a strong work ethic. You are also flexible and enjoy a role where tasks can vary from day to day.

It is an advantage if you have experience with travel jobs or other specialized welding roles that require technical adaptability.

Qualifications 
  • Vocational training in welding or sheet metal work
  • Good experience in aluminum welding
  • Experience welding in uncomfortable positions
  • Experience welding material group 22/23 
  • Hot work certificate
Meritorious
  • TIG & MIG license primarily for aluminum
  • Experience in stainless TIG welding
  • Forklift and overhead crane license
  • Computer skills for documentation and reporting

About the Client

Muskövarvet AB is a sought-after and recognized maintenance and repair yard established in 2005 and has been part of the defense group Saab since 2018. The operations are mainly conducted in Örlogshamnen on Muskö, about 60 km south of Stockholm.

The yard works with comprehensive solutions for both military and civilian vessels – from construction, service, and technical support to repairs, renovations, and maintenance, on vessels up to about 50 tons. Among the clients are civilian shipowners and virtually all public shipowners, with the Armed Forces as the largest client.
