We are now looking for a Welding Manager for our client AQ Components Västerås AB, part of AQ Group. We are looking for someone with good welding skills who thrives in a role with significant responsibility.

The Assignment

As a Welding Manager at AQ Components, you will have the overall responsibility for the company's welding-related activities. You will ensure that the final product meets quality requirements by reviewing welding specifications already in the bidding phase and ensuring that the competence, equipment, and capacity in the welding department meet the requirements. In this role, you will among other things:

• Establish work instructions based on welding procedures and sequences
• Be responsible for correct material handling, inspection, testing, and deviation management
• Ensure that applicable certifications (ISO 3834 & EN 15085) are followed and be responsible for external audits
• Drive the development of processes, explore new techniques, and lead development projects
• Support your welding colleagues

A central part of the role is to combine the work as a Welding Manager with an additional operational responsibility in areas such as welding, production, quality, or technology – based on your experiences and strengths.

Who You Are

We are looking for someone with broad knowledge of the welding process and preferably an IWS or IWT qualification. You have several years of work experience in a similar role – but most importantly, you see this as a developing role where you can take initiative and drive improvements.

• Communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
