About the Company

STMicroelectronics Silicon Carbide AB is located in Händelö, Norrköping, and has ST as the majority owner since February 2019. The company was originally named Norstel AB and is ST's competence center for silicon carbide material technology. Silicon carbide (SiC) is a new semiconductor that contributes to a sustainable future with more energy-efficient power components. The company has been developing silicon carbide for 20 years, first at Linköping University and then in a production facility in Norrköping since 2006. The production area in Händelö, Norrköping is 2000 m2 and the facility operates around the clock. The focus is now on the development and pilot production of silicon carbide wafers for automotive electronics.

Your Responsibilities

In this role, you will work with machines for various manufacturing and measurement steps for silicon carbide wafers. You will be responsible for performing the practical work with the products, checking key parameters, and ensuring that each step is documented carefully in Excel and internal systems. Accuracy and systematic work are important, as each product has its own identification that must be followed throughout the process. The work takes place in a production area where development is still ongoing, which means you will have both routine days and days that involve changes and special tasks. The tasks require practical skills and the ability to balance effective and qualitative work well. During the day, you will collaborate with engineers, technicians, and other operators who are eager to share their knowledge.

Much documentation and communication occurs in English, so it is important that you have very good language skills, both spoken and written.

The position will initially offer you a permanent employment contract, and the work follows a two-shift schedule.
