Caregiver for Psychiatric Outpatient Care in Västervik

As a caregiver with us, you will have varied tasks that involve working with psychosocial assessment, evaluation, and treatment.

Our patients seek help for anxiety or depression requiring specialized care, psychotic disorders, personality disorders, bipolar disorder, or neuropsychiatric diagnoses. You will work both independently and in teams based on the patient's needs.

The work includes maintaining independent contacts in the form of support conversations, assessment and planning of care, as well as being the patient's contact person at the clinic. It also involves follow-ups of treatment, coordination, investigation, and group therapies. The role includes collaboration with other units within adult psychiatry and partners outside the organization, such as municipalities and the Social Insurance Agency.

The position includes continuous professional development and supervision. We have designated times each week for collegial team discussions, and we apply mentorship with individually tailored introductions for new employees.

The working hours are Monday to Friday.

About You

We are looking for someone with caregiver training or other education deemed equivalent by the employer. Previous work experience in psychiatry, treatment homes, social psychiatry, or similar fields is advantageous. We also prefer that you have basic psychotherapy training level 1.

You are skilled at collaborating and building good relationships, contributing to a positive work environment where we all help each other achieve the best treatment quality for our patients.

You are confident in your professional role and can adapt your working methods to meet the patient's care needs. You enjoy working independently and have a good ability to plan and structure your own work.

The Psychiatric Outpatient Care in Västervik consists of two clinics, including a dependency team. The target group is adults over 18 years old in need of specialized psychiatric interventions. We who work at the clinics are nurses, caregivers, social workers, psychologists, psychotherapists, doctors, and medical secretaries.

Here, all adult psychiatric services will be gathered under one roof, creating a patient-focused and patient-safe environment. In the new premises, we will also reopen one of our forensic psychiatric care units.
