The store has a lovely and calm atmosphere and works to provide personal and professional service to its customers. The company is passionate about offering the highest quality and sustainable products that reflect the unique flavors and aromas of different cultures around the world. The most popular tea varieties are the owner's original blends, such as Söderblandning and Earl Grey Special. E.W.C Scandinavia AB is also a wholesaler and delivers tea to reputable companies in Sweden, such as Grand Hotel, Nobel Museum, Royal Court, Skansen, Vete-Katten, Svenskt Tenn, etc., and internationally. The Tea Centre of Stockholm also has a website with an online store from which they ship teas to many parts of the world.

Job responsibilities

As the purchasing manager at E.W.C Scandinavia, you have overall responsibility for the purchasing process from start to finish. You are responsible for all suppliers and ensure that the tea assortment remains unique and high-quality. Subsequently, you work both strategically and operationally with purchasing and order placement, while ensuring efficient purchases based on, among other things, monthly inventory. In this role, you strive to maintain and develop positive relationships with existing suppliers and explore new business opportunities as needed. Additionally, you are involved in ensuring that all products meet quality and sustainability standards. Furthermore, you are responsible for other administrative and finance-related tasks, such as invoicing and communication with the external accounting firm.

As one of the leading roles in the organization, you are also involved in budgeting and forecasting work together with the CEO and contribute to the development of processes and routines to enhance both the organization and the purchasing work.

In this role, you collaborate closely with the CEO, to whom you also report, and work closely with all colleagues in the organization.

Education, experience, and personal qualities

• Previous experience in purchasing, preferably within the beverage or food industry • Basic knowledge and understanding of finance to handle simpler financial tasks • Good computer and system skills (ERP), as well as very good knowledge of the Office suite, especially Excel • Excellent knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written • An interest in food and beverages is a plus We are looking for a positive and open person who is loyal and engaged. Much of the work will be conducted under your own responsibility, which requires you to be structured, meticulous, and quality-conscious. You should also be able to take your own initiatives, solve problems, and be driven by learning new things. It will come naturally to you to suggest improvements and efficiencies in your work. It is also important in this role that you are a good team player who contributes to creating a good working atmosphere and appreciates working in a small team with fast and short decision-making paths, where everyone helps to create the best possible results and added value. You are unpretentious and have no problem helping and supporting your colleagues in the areas needed. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability in this recruitment.
