About the American Gymnasium, Stockholm - Essingen

About the Role

As a cleaner at our school, you will be responsible, together with a colleague, for creating a clean, pleasant, and welcoming environment for both students and staff. The job involves daily cleaning of the school premises. If needed, you will also cover as a kitchen assistant in our cafeteria.

Other tasks include floor care, window cleaning, replenishing supplies, as well as sorting and handling waste, etc. In connection with school activities and events, cleaning may be adapted to special needs. During school breaks, you will work on deep cleaning the school premises.

The position is a permanent employment at 100%. The employment begins with a 6-month probationary period. Start in August 2025, or according to agreement.

Your Profile

To succeed in this role, experience in cleaning work is required, preferably in public environments. It is an advantage if you have also worked as a kitchen assistant. You should be able to express yourself well in both Swedish and English, in speech and writing. It is also beneficial if you can speak Arabic.

As a person, you have good collaboration skills and work well in a group with high social competence. You see service as an important part of the job, which requires flexibility and, above all, a positive attitude towards working with students. You are not afraid of change and are also responsible and able to take initiative. You also have good planning skills and the ability to prioritize tasks independently.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
