About Ålandstidningen

At Ålandstidningen's editorial office, about 20 reporters, photographers, and editors work together. We produce daily news for all of Ålandstidningen's channels. We cover everything related to Åland with a focus on topics like politics, business, culture, entertainment, and sports. Our working language is Swedish. Our news reaches 80% of all Ålanders daily, and the newspaper plays a significant role in the local societal debate. About the Role

As a summer reporter, you will write articles for both the newspaper and the web. You will interview everyone from children to decision-makers within all our coverage areas. Some of the work is done in the office, but you will also work extensively in the field. You typically write several articles a day. Taking your own photos is also part of the reporter's job. The work can be hectic at times and includes evening and weekend work.

About You

We want you to be curious, driven, and interested in society. Experience in journalism – either through studies or practical work experience – is a plus. The position requires excellent Swedish language skills in both speech and writing; other language skills are advantageous. As a reporter, you will often work against tight deadlines and need to be able to work independently with significant personal responsibility. A driver's license is a requirement.
