AnimalOOO creates a global, digital planning and communication platform that simplifies the daily life for breeders and pet owners and contributes to an ethical and sustainable change in the animal industry. We collaborate with leading researchers and create an innovative and user-friendly breeding tool from scratch to ensure genetic diversity and healthier pet breeds, as well as the survival of populations of wild species.

Who are we looking for

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated UI/UX product designer to strengthen our product team. You will be responsible for creating, developing, and optimizing the user experience in our products with a focus on UI design and user-centered methodology. We are looking for someone who is self-driven and loves great responsibility, problem-solving, creating thoughtful user flows, high-quality UI design, and working closely with both customers and developers. We also believe that you have a background in the animal industry.

Responsibilities

• Design clear and visually appealing product interfaces with consideration for accessibility and responsiveness
• Conduct user surveys, usability tests, and gather feedback from customers
• Collaborate closely with product owners, developers, researchers, and other stakeholders to transform ideas into detailed UI concepts and interactive prototypes
• Maintain and further develop design guidelines, component libraries, and style guides
• Continuously iterate design based on data and user insights to improve usability and aesthetics
• Lead meetings and present design concepts, results, and recommendations

Requirements

• Solid knowledge of UI/UX and experience with common design tools, with high expertise in Figma
• A strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design processes and visual expertise
• Ability to express yourself very well in both speech and writing in English and Swedish
• Experience in responsive design and good knowledge of WCAG standards for accessibility
• Experience in creating products for both desktop and mobile
• Knowledge of agile methodologies and experience working cross-functionally
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to balance user needs, business goals, and technical requirements

Preferred qualifications

• Having a strong passion for animals and knowledge of, or preferably a background in the animal industry, as it will facilitate understanding the product and customers
• Experience in marketing, web, social media, film, image, and text editing is a plus
• Experience in frontend development with modern web technologies
• Knowledge and experience in statistics and probability theory and working closely with research teams
