Interim Property Manager for Vimmerby Municipality

About the Role

The consultant, as an Interim Property Manager, will work with the Community Planning Department, which is part of the Municipal Board Administration. The Property Office's mission is to provide the municipality's operations with suitable premises through management, property maintenance, upkeep, and construction. The Property Office manages approximately 140,000 m2 and also works on energy issues and internal rent administration.

• Lead and develop the property department with 3-4 employees in management, projects, and operational support.
• Be responsible for finances and working environment.
• Develop the organization and working methods.
• Manage consulting services, contracts, and procurements.
• Collaborate with the municipality's operations and market players.
• Be part of the Community Planning Department's management team and report to the Community Planning Manager.

Who You Are

We expect the consultant to meet the following requirements:

• Relevant university education or equivalent knowledge/experience.
• Documented leadership experience and experience in personnel, finance, and operational responsibilities.
• Driver's license.
• Communicate clearly and express oneself well in both speech and writing.

It is advantageous if the consultant also meets:

• Knowledge and experience in construction and property matters.
• Experience in a politically governed organization.
• Experience in public procurement law.

What We Offer

A full-time 100% consultancy assignment scheduled to start on February 1, 2025, running for 7 months. The assignment is located in Vimmerby, and the interim manager will need to be on-site. There is some flexibility for remote work, but the expectation is for the person to be on-site at least 4 days a week.
