About the Södermalm Department

In the Katarinahuset on Södermalm, we provide round-the-clock care focused on psychosis. There are 21 care places, and the work is focused on developing psychosis care based on established care processes together with a competent staff group that is particularly interested in the target group. In our well-staffed department, caregivers, nurses, coordinators, social workers, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and doctors work together. We work person-centered.

Your Role as a Nursing Assistant

As a nursing assistant, you have an important role in the care work and collaborate with your colleagues in various interdisciplinary teams. We actively work on developing patient participation, care plans, nursing plans, and concrete nursing measures. Together with your professional and dedicated colleagues, you will be involved in our goal of providing psychiatric care of the highest quality. The tasks involve daily contact with patients, conversations, activities, nursing, and various tasks in the department. Documentation is done in our system TakeCare.

Our Expectations of You

You have an interest in care and psychiatry as a focus and are curious, creative, and responsible. You have a good ability to collaborate with colleagues but can also work independently and make your own decisions when necessary. In the care work, you base your actions on the resources and needs of the patient and their relatives. Good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form is a requirement.

You are an educated caregiver/nursing assistant through the upper secondary school’s Health and Care program for 3 years (2500 points), the Health and Care program, vocational education as a specialist nursing assistant, or equivalent education. An individual assessment will be made for other equivalent training within municipal adult education or older training as a nursing assistant. Alternatively, you are studying to become a caregiver/nursing assistant, nurse, psychologist, or doctor.

Experience in psychiatric round-the-clock care is an advantage.

What Can We Offer You?

Start date by agreement. Work is scheduled for nights. The form of employment can be hourly paid or monthly paid depending on the length of the employment period. All substitutes receive a paid individually tailored introduction that includes some shifts together with an experienced colleague.

There are good opportunities for continued employment as a substitute after the summer.
