The Research Reception for Internal Medicine is a clinic that conducts patient-centered clinical research, primarily in areas such as cardiology and type 2 diabetes. We conduct population studies, clinical trials, and drug testing.

Many different professional categories work at the clinic, such as doctors, professors, study coordinators, research nurses, biomedical analysts, nursing assistants, data and biobank managers, and administrative staff. Everyone collaborates to achieve good results with high quality. We share premises with the Diagnostic Center, where we have together created a pleasant working environment. The unit is open during the day from Monday to Friday.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In your role as a biomedical analyst, you will work together with study doctors, responsible researchers, biomedical analysts, research nurses, nursing assistants, administrators, and IT coordinators in the research projects conducted by the unit.

You will be responsible for receptions and visits either individually or together with your colleagues, which may include echocardiograms, carotid examinations, blood sampling, insertion of IV cannulas, EKG, blood pressure measurements, spirometry, and simpler vascular examinations. Additionally, you may write assessments and responses to examinations where applicable. You will also perform tasks such as analyzing study protocol readings, study preparations, documentation in research protocols and computer programs, as well as scheduling.

The position is a temporary contract lasting until June 2026.

QUALIFICATIONS

We welcome you who are a licensed biomedical analyst with permission to practice within Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe’s scale are required. You are proficient and comfortable using English in both spoken and written forms. Good computer skills are a must as a large part of the work takes place in various computer programs. In addition, you have several years of experience working as a biomedical analyst and can independently perform echocardiography examinations and assess and write responses. Furthermore, you have an interest in working with research.

As a person, you are positive, flexible, have good initiative and a sense of responsibility. You should be able to work independently while also appreciating teamwork. Since the organization is dynamic and tasks change over time, you should be open to changes. Having a friendly and respectful attitude towards colleagues and study participants is important to you. Given that the job involves many meetings with different people, it is crucial that you have a pronounced sense of service. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.
