About the operation

Transfusion Medicine in Trollhättan (NÄL)/Uddevalla has 23 employees and we work with all aspects of transfusion medicine: blood donation, component production, and immunohematology.

We supply NU healthcare with blood components and transfusion medical analyses.

The NU healthcare catchment area covers approximately 280,000 inhabitants.

About the tasks

Our operations include three areas: GeBlod (blood donation), component production, and immunohematology (blood grouping/compatibility testing).

In blood donation, you work with healthy blood donors, from booking to blood collection. After collection, component production takes over to produce the various components: erythrocytes, plasma, and platelets.

In addition, we have a large immunohematological analysis operation where we perform blood groupings, investigations, and compatibility tests that are preparatory for a possible transfusion to the patient.

About you

We are looking for a licensed biomedical analyst, preferably with previous experience in transfusion medicine or someone who will graduate in spring 2025.

You need to be quality-conscious, meticulous, and enjoy a job that involves changing paces. You are expected to have good teamwork skills to prioritize work together with colleagues. You should enjoy working both in a team and independently. It is important to us that you, as an employee, feel involved, take initiative, and engage in developing the operations together.

Our work requires that you can express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
